Application number range CFR is currently processing

It seems the CFR is processing applications based on the Application number and not when the application reaches the CFR

So lets track what range they are currently processing for each week

Following number range appears to have gone into "In Preparation for Consideration" :

Week of : 18-24 January 2021 Application number range Range from 832.... and 833....

My wife's application went to "in preparation for consideration" on the 22nd. Ref number 834***.

Lone Gunman - Good news re: your wife's application.

My two apps have reference numbers beginning with 835 which hopefully means it will move on to the next stage fairly soon.

Lets test this. My ref is also 837..., I am on 112 days, and the status is received at licensing section...

What process is yours at?

And many of those "99ers" in actual fact were still waiting on various SAPS directives, court orders, et al. that were only issued at 99.9.

Just to add another data point: 834**** also moved on the 22nd (134 working days) to "in preparation for consideration".

I spoke to someone at the CFR call centre the day before, who said there would be movement soon, as they are doing the "July applications" now. So I'm not sure if they strictly go by reference number, of if they go by application month, which will obviously fall within a certain range of reference numbers.
