Sorry, trying to keep up with this discussion. If you tested "negative", surely that means the diagnosis implied you "didn't have covid"? So if you were tested and were negative (both times), how do you conclude you had covid?

I have had tick bit fever based on all clinical signs (infected bite site, fever, etc etc), but the test was negative. A diagnosis can be made on clinical presentation alone.

(I realise that covid is a different beast with the symptoms overlapping with so many other plausible illnesses, just referring to your question about testing)

Our doctor made clinical diagnoses based on the symptoms I presented with. In both cases they were in the context of my immediate family testing positive and the people we were exposed to testing positive. I subsequently tested positive for the antibodies.

The forecast of deaths is based on the average deaths per week for the years 2014-2019.

You can see the slight rise in the forecast around June for each year, which coincides with our regular flu season. The actual flu season deaths in 2020 were 60% higher, and in 2021 100% higher, than the average of the previous 5 years.

In addition, there was a 150% increase in deaths around December 2020 compared to previous years, which can be attributed to our holiday season.

Nice worked example of how the 'belief' problem isn't a one way street. True Believers/Knowers are not swayed by facts that don't align to their belief. Doesn't matter which side of an argument they happen to be on.
