Default Only SD gun handed in, what now???

    Hi guys,

I've assisted many clients recently with the amnesty process, drafting motivations for licensing and competency renewals.

In many cases the guy only has that one pistol / rollie.

What's the next best home defence weapon that can be used in your experience.

I'm reluctant to recommend things like the Bryna (?) gun I see a lot of lately.

    Looks legit and scary

But seriously, mate of mine is in the same boat. I just said defend yourself with n knife or bat if you have. Best is to get out of dodge.

Another mate is having his hunting rifle next to his bed at night.

I really don't know another way.

Good torch, baton, knife, pepperspray and training how to use them. Decent slam lockable gates inside, actually locked at night. Additional motion detectors + beams.

Very good advice. Get Training. Not just watching a Youtube video on it. Dont think im big or something ill just klap the guy. Does not work that way in real life.

Get proper training and attend classes. Actually even when you have a firearm.

Many types of classes. I went for 3 years on Krav Maga. At start when you fight in class. You realize what happens in real life.

But many types of classes out there

Correct however I have encouraged guys to buy a second handgun ASAP and apply for S15 licenses. That way you have your s13 and S15 apps running concurrently.

It might sound silly but a spearhead on a 5ft shaft is very intimidating if you're on the receiving end. The stabbing motion is useful indoors in passageways, much easier to use than a weapon you have to swing.

+1 on this. I am busy mounting a 303 bayonet on a shaft as part of my last ditch backup plan.
