I see. But they also say they make new ammo. Surely that means they make their own brass too? Or at least have someone press new brass for them?

Also, if they do make new ammo, is it also powder coated bullets or cmj or fmj? I don't see much info on their site or anywhere else

The info is visible on the website and the following can be deduced.

Reloading units are a bank of presumably Dillon (blue colour visible) reloading machines.

Ammo box descriptions of factory reloaded ammo is presumably from outsourced once fired (or multiple fired brass)
Boxes not marked with the factory reloaded badge is probably loaded with new virgin brass.

Handgun bullets used are Frontier, Silver rapids and Speer gold dots (various weights)
Rifle bullets used are Frontier, Titan mono-moly, Sierra.

Factory reloaded ammo brass will be from some range somewhere.
New brass is probably outsourced from existing suppliers currently feeding the market.

Yes, the pressed are covered with blue covers that look Dillon blue.
Factory reloads are going to be recovered brass, of course, otherwise they wouldn't be reloads...

No mention or anything I can see of where they get their new brass. I'm going to guess it's likely cheap imported brass or the one local metal press I know makes it.

Also curious as to what powder they use. Locally manufactured would make sense but I don't know if local production is at a point where they would supply to other manufacturers.

Also, doesn't seem like there is much feedback as to quality and consistency. Perhaps it's because they are still new. But manual loading processes opens up a larger margin of issues due to human factors.

Saw a vid last night on Facebook where Brothers Arms show and say they just received 1 ton of 9mmP ammo from Badger. And it's going for R4000/1000

I also see that they are based in Boksburg.

And Johan Jansen Jnr from Gun City fame is involved.
