Re: Talk PCC to me!
Greetings sport fans, may or may not have acquired a 16" 9mm.
Now for the next set of questions.
What RDS do I look at for IPSC purposes? I have no idea of what I want or need so If you want to point out a specific model please share as to why it would be useful. Big dot, small dot, circle dot? Holosun seems to be a good value offering locally?
Thanks

Depends on your budget. Vortex make nice dots and their warranty and backup locally is good. Trijicon also make a nice dot, but that is pricey.
Nothing wrong with Holosun either. I prefer a smaller dot, makes the longer shots easier than just seeing a red dot covering the plate / target. 3moa is nice

Re: Talk PCC to me!
Ive done some YT'ing and it seems like 510C & 512C is what pops up mostly for PCC/AR.
Any reason I should not buy the Holosun 512C ?
Enclosed emitter
Shake to wake
Auto brightness
Good battery life + solar
200g
2/65MOA circle dot (apparently cool for my astigmatism)
Anything im missing?

Re: Talk PCC to me!
Not all astigmatism is good with any red dot.
I do not have it, yet. Apparently the dot turns morphs into a star shape due to astigmatism. What I have read an seen is that a prismatic scope is better for the condition.
Maybe just double check and test somewhere before buying.

Re: Talk PCC to me!
So luckily im right eye dominant and its my good eye.
I see the star mostly in bad light conditions like driving at night but my prescription contacts sorts that out 80% + and its normal. Ive had a squizz through several red dots during the day and havnt noticed any effect that impacts me negatively as long as the brightness isnt cranked all the way up.
But in terms of other features and suitability it seems like it will work well on a PCC.
