Familiarity Breeds Contempt.
On arriving back at my bakkie this afternoon, after a frustrating hunt in high wind, I found this chap in the back seat of my bakkie. A familiar chat (I am open to correction) its Afrikaans name is spekvretertjie, literally a little lard eater. Apparently they got this name from their habit of eating lard used to lubricate the wheel hubs on ox wagons. These days they seem to frequent, old battered, land cruisers. This one was a little too familiar, loudly contesting his squatting rights.

The look of disgust and unhappiness on it's face because you have the audacity to disturb its time in your Cruiser is priceless.
Thanks for sharing TStone.

Mr Stone, you had an entire farm to park your automobile. Ever considered why you choose to leave it in that particular spot.
The exact same spot the feathered one earmarked to make his resting place?
