Small Hands - Must replace Glock 19
Ok, no jokes.
I purchased a Gen 4 Glock 19 4 years ago.
Had never fired one, just read reports. Yes, serious mistake. Serious.
I do also have a Glock 43 which is slightly to small and only is a 6+1 weapon.
So, the decision is made - sell the Glock 19 and purchase a - What????
CZ P10 Compact? A Sub Compact?
I used to carry a CZ 75 but damn, it just became to heavy.
What other makes should I look at. Love all the things about the Glock, just cannot get it to fit into my hand.
In the USA they are able to fill the hollow space in the handle with resin and then file the handle down to make it smaller.
But don't think we can modify like this in SA.
Open to suggestions please.
Cheers.

What do you mean by does not fit? Can you not reach the controls?
I'd suggest a G48

Your G43 with plus 2 shoe ever tried. Then it is a 8+1.

Before spending money on another gun, spend some time with a good trainer. Whereabouts are you, when that is known people can point you in the right direction. You'll be surprised by how well an experienced trainer can probably get you to run and shoot your G19 with small adjustments to your grip.

if your hands really are too small or your fingers too short to properly use a G19 then a subcompact of the same type of gun isnt really going to have a slimmer grip.
If a CZ75 grip works for you and alloy frame compact version of the 75 series would be the obvious choice.

Can't see the reason to make a Glock work if someone doesn't like it. This idea that one should get your mind around it because it's the right thing to do doesn't make sense. Have a look at the other sub compacts out there to see how they work for you. Start with the little Mossberg, but look around - Glock isn't the only choice, as many will have you believe.

Besides "small hands" you don't really tell us what the exact problem is with the G19. Can your trigger finger properly reach the trigger with the pistol gripped right? If not, then you could consider reducing the grip, changing the trigger or both. For reaching the other controls you can just shift the pistol in your hand or install extended controls. Maybe consult with a good trainer before spending big bucks.
I'm pretty confident that someone has successfully reduced a Glock grip in SA already. Again, get some knowledgeable input before doing irreversible mods on your pistol.

Re: Small Hands - Must replace Glock 19
Changing backstraps can make a huge difference. I have meaty palms but short fingers. So for me, on my P07, using the smaller backstrap made a world of difference.
My girlfriend has even smaller hands, but she can shoot and control my P07. She just struggles to reach slide locks and things without using her backup hand. But she can shoot a decent group all day.
