Default Holosun/ Leupold Red Dot Sights for handgun

Been looking at getting a Red Dot for my APX Full Size. I will go the dovetail mounting plate route because no one in Gauteng knows how to mill a Beretta with a protruding firings pin block plunger (have checked with both MRST and SA Laser Engraving).

My choices are Holosun HS407CO/ HS507C and Leupold Deltapoint Pro.

Thoughts on these models? Don't have much experience with dots.

I see a few people here suggesting the Aimpoint C1 ARCO. No offence, but that thing is bizarre looking.

The gun will be used for sports shooting and will seldom be carried unless my EDC is not with me for whatever reason.

    I have the Holosun 407c v2
So far, no issues. It works
I like the small 2moa dot as it's precise. However, when first picking up the pistol, if your grip/line isn't correct you may end up searching a little for the dot.
This is remedied by lots of practice and muscle memory

Comments on the net say the Leupold is the largest of the red dots people would consider tough and perhaps use on a handgun every day.

I myself am already fixated on the Holosun for the price and reticle.

Here are your choices if you decide to put another sight on the same plate. Because I am having my slide cut I am going the RMR standard.

    Shield standard

Shield sights are incredibly compact, which is why Shield had to come up with a footprint of their own. It is designed similarly to the Noblex/Docter footprint (there are two holes for the screws and four sockets in which the notches on the mount/adapter fit, one in each corner). The sockets, however, are a little bit wider and closer one to another.
Red dot sights that share this footprint:

    ‘Trijicon RMR’ standard

This footprint has two holes for screws and two sockets in which the pins on the mount/adapter fit – these are in the front, in each corner. Even though the sockets are in the front only, the footprint is somewhat reminiscent of the Docter/Noblex one. Note, however, that the sockets in the corners are farther apart on the Trijicon footprint and bigger in diameter.
Red dot sights that share this footprint:

IIRC that's a primary arms exclusive. I'm not sure you'd be them here
