Yes, I saw that somewhere in a parent case registry for wildcatting. Quick Load does not list it as such though.

Yes there was,

No:
.303 is .312",
7.62x39 is .309-.311 (SAAMI).312" (CIP)

There are so many versions of 7,92 MM Mauser that I really don't want to make a list here, but it is longer than two bullet diameters...
