Interesting...Seems like it will be a winner

Unfortunately the frame is the serialised part, making it unobtainable without additional licensing, even if it is offered as a modular part, I suppose.

Can the new Shield Plus frame be mated to an original Shield 1 Slide.
Are the frames available separately without the need to license.
If they are available from who, and at what price.

This is the all new Shield Plus with 10 round capacity in the flush fit magazine and 13 round in the extended magazine. The slide is longer that the original Shield and the grip angle is somewhat altered if I'm correct.

I wonder how available mags will be in SA and what they'll cost!

Would be interesting to see how it compares size-wise to the "standard" Shield and the 9c / 2.0 Subcompact.

Competition is good, nice to see manufacturers taking feedback while keeping the same footprint.

So currently the minimum 10 round capacity options are the Shield+, Ruger Max-9, Hellcat and the P365

That's not a micro compact due to its grip length. Glock just made the mag longer in order to accommodate more rounds.

Look at the mag design of the above mentioned brands. I think they all follow the stack and a half concept.

They made the mag longer and slightly thicker, hence a G43X mag does not fit in a G43...

It's exactly the same size as the shield 1 or 2 and can use the same holsters and sights. It's slightly lighter than the old shields.
