Ebay: Opinions?

How many of you frequent Ebay, and what has been your experience? Would you recommend it to others?

I only purchased a single item on Ebay, years ago being a rare Lego Set as a Christmas, which arrived intact, albeit several weeks later than promised. Of course, the delay might have been due to our sh!tty postal service rather than the fault of the seller, so that does not necessarily reflect badly on Ebay as a whole.

I often buy from EBay and enjoy free shipping in the US by way of an APO box. I then consolidate my orders and sent as one shipment from the US via courier.

My experience has been positive for all of my purchases thus far. I do however make sure all sellers are verified and have a decent track record.

I used to buy a gel of a lot on ebay but SAPO put a stop to that for me.

Now I just use banggood and Amazon

I've bought a lot of stuff over the years, if the seller offers eBay global shipping you're usually good. Otherwise postbox courier have been good freight forwarders.

Check the reviews before buying.

Ebay has always been good to me. Be savvy and check the seller out.

Recently however the normal shipping methods are just a no-go with SAPO. Sellers offering GSP are still usable via DHL or similar.

No problem when it's delivery with the ebay global shipping service.

Amazon shipping service is also good. Last time I bought from Amazon, package tracking showed the parcel in ZA the next day. Took about a week in total.
