    Default Young Boar.

A young (16 month old) warthog boar. Note the prominent white sideburns, many a young hog get shot by inexperienced hunters who mistake these for tusks. Warthog of this size makes good eating. The back straps, wrapped in bacon and cooked on a weber is a favorite of mine. Once a boar reaches sexual maturity you need to camouflage the meat to make it edible and most end up as salami or something similar.

When Cody was still of baby skin, I could not work these young pigs carcasses because of their soft puppy skin, I was horrified with the thought.
Pre 64 helped me out the day I shot a young pig and rolled it over to gut it, I just kept flashing back to my baby boy - I really did not want to work that carcass.
