Default Production Optics handguns for IPSC

I've been out of the loop a bit - what are the current premium production optics handguns ? Is it still the Shadow 2 or are there other options to look at?

Its probably the best, most widely available gun for PO. Most top guys choose it or the ever present glock.

Whenever I RO at GC it's Shadow 2 ORs (or milled 2s) and 17/45/19/19X MOS's that rule the day. Tanfos, P07/P09/P10s and Caniks do make an appearance, but not in huge numbers.

Agree with this. I currently shoot in the PO Division and have found the majority of the more serious shooters in this division are running Shadow 1s, Shadow 2s and Glock 17, 19, 19X (either in a MOS configuration or with milled slides).

I think I recall Spartan bringing in some spares for the Walther range - they stock quite a bit of them - even the fancy steel ones

Unfortunately, the simply fact is if it isn't Glock or CZ the support is often lacking. In the case of German guns very much lacking. For Fn just about non existent.
