Had the same problem, but I wanted AAA. There's a shot maker advertised in Magnum from time to time. Think it's from Nic Yale?!?!
Maybe you could check that out.

Blunderbuss Gun and Sport in Alberton has plenty in stock. Give Craig a call on 011-867-0370.

guys sorry to dig up an old post but where can I find used shotgun shells. 12 ga and preferably the one with the short brass base.

I'm looking to take up reloading again after a long lay-off and ex-country so have no existing shells to start off with.

    Thanks

Try your nearest shooting range. Nobody picks up shot shells.

Think twice man.. You really, really have to load a heck of a lot to justify time and setup..
Eg You can buy #7 12g ammo for R500 per case of 250..
Primers are minimum 50c and powder also 50c.. So you gotto get shot, labour and get a damn good crimp going and I cant see you beating that price... Only 1 reason I havent sold mine.. I can load Slugs @R3 each and new slugs are at least R10 each...

Gidsie, where do you get 12G ammo for R500 per case? The best price I can currently get it at is R700
