Default Beretta 7.65 looking for a home...

    Hi

A friend contacted me this morning. her neighbour has a double stack Beretta in 7.65 looking for a good home. He is not going to re-apply but also doesn't want the gun ending up being sold out of the SAP13 store.

The picture she sent via whatsapp shows what looks like an unfired / as new Beretta (I think a Model 83?) with wooden stocks. (I don't know how to upload pics, sorry)

I assume this is a "looking for a good home" gun. It is not for sale. So anyone needing one like this should be prepared to book it into a dealer and then apply for the licence. Current licence is still valid for now.

Current owner is in Pierre Van Ryneveld PTA so I think ARMS is about the closest place to store it.

If anyone is interested I will ask her for her neighbour's contact details.

I think the double stack Cheetah in 7.65 was the Mod 81

From the whatsapp photo's that was sent, it is a Beretta 81, with original wooden grips, manufactured in 1977. This makes it a very early model.

Would love to add it to my collection as it will complement my Beretta 70 and it fits perfectly into my collection theme.

I was tempted by this one myself. But I already have a REAL Beretta... a Model 92, with a thumb safety where JMB intended it to be... and a mag release where JMB wouldn't have put one.
