5 Week Appointment wait at DFO for license submission

Now it's a 5 week appointment wait just to see the DFO to submit a new license.

Is this the new normal?

Phoned Brackenfell DFO end of January, got an appointment for 25 March for myself.

Phoned 20 March, got an appointment for 18 May for the wife.

That’s nothing new with all the Amnesty apps going in. I tried from December 2020 and eventually got an appointment 30 March.

Make the appointment first, 5 weeks before you need to hand in your application, then start shopping for your gun, then do the motivation etc.

At Lyttleton (Centurion) they do not have appointments. They only serve 30 people per day. At around 6:30 those numbers run out. I was there on a Friday and the numbers only ran out after 7.
