Hi,

First post. Registered a while back and just received my app. approval.

Sadly, not for my competency though as , thanks to info on this site, I've just discovered my comp. application hasn't even been logged though I put it in end of November.

Needless to say, I'm gutted.

Have to say though, I'm so grateful for this site and you guys as, without it, I would have continued on oblivious, trusting in the powers that be. Now, at least I can be a bit proactive.

Bit about me - grew up with a bit of hunting (duck, goose and pigeon only) and a dad that enjoyed shooting. I've only ever owned pistols, principally for S13.

Gave up my last pistol during the amnesty panic (2009?) and now really want to get back into it and hopefully dip my toe in the IDPA pool when I'm a bit more competent.

So, perhaps sometime before I'm a grandfather, I'll be lucky enough to once more be a gun owner.
