Haha, this dude has become a legend! The video has millions of views on some US YouTube channels and even Lewis Hamilton gave him a shout out on social media. Looks like a lot of foreigners are learning about crime in SA too.

That armour really paid off there. Did he turtle the car at the end though?

He did good, very good. Tough luck with turtling the vehicle, but luck is always a factor. The partner was an utterly useless passenger, but it happens. Nice touch that skipping off the vehicle when it got stuck knowing the fact that the robbers may use explosives to open up armoured vehicles.

Jokes aside, show aside, this guy really impressed me, his demure just does not change, he looks behaves more like he is exited than scared, he appears pretty unconcerned. Irritated is as reactive as I would venture to label him. Gets out of breath,? smoker ?

Our Afrikaaner and his take on a death defying situation. "fok jou jou doos" (reaction) - 'Kok die gun"(result) "kom jou kont" (games on)
He certainly has confidence in the vehicles armor.

I think I will watch it again for desert.

Can anyone tell me why those vehicles do not have shooting ports?

Shooting ports work in both directions.

You also cannot effectively aim when shooting through port. That's one thing when you are doing it on a battlefield out of and IFV. Its another thing altogether when you are in a city with civilians walking around.

Gideon Joubert will be interviewing Deon on his channel in a few days. Should be an interesting discussion.
