    Default The MP5 Thread

Thought maybe we could start an MP5 thread... I'll start.

This is my POF MP5. Ex SBV gun, carried a lot but seems to have barely been shot.

I have done a lot of work to it namely:

    Midwest Industries M-Lok Rail
    Samson Short Vertical Grip
SEF Plastic Grip Module (replacing the steel grip module)
    Magpul Safety Selectors
Revolutionary Roller Locks ACR Stock Adaptor
    Magpul ACR Stock

    Still to fit:

    B&T Ultralow Mount
    Sig Romeo 5

    Still to buy:

Timney MP5 Trigger (Awaiting it's release)
    Haga Defense MP5 Magwell
    Cerakote in HK Grey

I would rather try not think about it. Haha.

    Gun cost me 16k.
So far parts are at round 14k, and I have 4.5k into (3) mags (MP5 mags are real expensive, and almost unobtanium, at least HK ones, and ets have many issues according to my reading).

I'm guessing on spending maybe another 7 - 8k depending on how much the Timney trigger is once it eventually goes into production from it's current testing phase. Just the magwell is going to be close on 2k if not a little more, but I plan on using it mostly in IPSC and I've always wanted an MP5.

The great thing about these guns is that they are actually really modular, and I can revert it back to A2 configuration in about 15 minutes from the current setup.

Where did you buy all the extras you have?

My license for my POF was approved, just waiting on the card now. I’d like to buy spare extractor and other springs, a sear, hammer and trigger. Any idea where I can get these?

@paul: do they often sell off guns? OR was this some special arrangement

The gun was bought from a friend who bought it from DSG, and hadn't submitted paperwork.
Chatting with the guys from DSG they mentioned it was a previously SBV, and the 350's I received supported this.
