TheQM – Afrimill Grinder (Small)
R692.01
A quality manual grinder/mill for milling grain and other agricultural produce.
Simple, uncomplicated to use with clear instructions.
It can be adjusted from a fine to a coarse grind, however we recommend that for best results you mill grain down to a progressively finer grind using a sieve and re-milling each time
Highly recommended for the prepper or small holder that wants to be in control of their food supply either for themselves (Pap/Grits/Coffee/Sorghum/flour etc.) or for poultry feed.
Very popular with the brewer and distiller who want to brew their own favourite beverage.
It is called small because it is about 2kg in weight compared to our Afrimill #1 which is close to 30kg in weight!

Re: TheQM – Afrimill Grinder (Small)
Every prepper should have a decent grinder and a hefty amount of wheat permanently stored for a TEOTWAWKI scenario. Wheat kernels can store for many decades and you will never have to cycle it out. Unlike tinned food. I tried tinned food but gave up on it. It's a waste as most have a shelf life of about 2 years. Store wheat in a 25L bucket with tight fitting lid in two large packets (so 12.5L wheat per packet) that are tied off tightly. I went with organic wheat so had to freeze the wheat first to kill wheat bugs but that's up to you.

I have tried to source wheat kernels - what a mission to find! Any suggestions? Even TheQuartermaster is always out of stock - I’d buy tomorrow if you had stock.

If you're in Cape Town area then try www.gonatural.co.za I got all my wheat from them. They sell in large sacks. It is organic so ask him about how to get rid of the bugs which eat the kernels. I froze the wheat for 2 weeks. You can also take it to a place that sells fish and ask them to store the wheat for 72 hours in one of their cold rooms. I did that but didn't do it long enough and the bugs survived. He does sell prefrozen wheat but in smaller amounts. I haven't been there in a while so not sure how much stock he has or what his setup is.
Just checked and it's R17 per kilogram. It doesn't say if it's organic or not so just check before you do any of the stuff I mentioned above......
