Re: Handgun cleaning with Ballistol
Been using Ballistol for the last 20 odd years. No problems. I have moved over to "Go Juice" for all of my polymer framed guns.

You can also drink it. As it apparently is good for a person.

https://www.ballistol-shop.de/Histor...stol:_:86.html It may not be the very best cleaner out there, but it is still very good. Also very versatile.

Re: Handgun cleaning with Ballistol
You get things that are better than Ballistol at some things. I do not know of something that is as good as Ballistol at many things...

Re: Handgun cleaning with Ballistol
This! I grew up with this smell and my late Fathers stories of hunting in South West Africa. So the smell conjures up the images of adventure and great hunts to come for me. You can use it clean your gun and wounds, treat leather and wood, lubricate about any thing that need to move, use it as a cutting oil on sharpening stone and it emulsifies with water and thus stays put on steel and do not split like normal oil does. So maybe not good at any one thing perhaps but does a hell off a lot more than some of the new stuff. You will be well served with a bottle in any situation.
