I get the burglaries, but what is meant by "boating accident"?

In America the joke is “I lost my guns In a boating accident” every time someone mentions removal of AR15’s in private hands, as an example.

I have contacted a local Journalist with regards to more publicly about the proposed ammendments. I must say, our local Newspapers are very Pro-gun, and enjoy major space in the Sport section.

My intention is to briefly educate the editor and the one Journalist about the proposed ammendments, and then the implications it will have.

My goal is that more people in my area send their objections in, and participate with the Dear South Africa initiative.

    Any other pointers or advice.?

The 45 days to object are getting less...

AK, put this in your pipe and smoke it. SAPS losing 5,93 firearms per day.
700 in one reported Metro. How many Metro Police Departments do we have in RSA?
The SADF really doesn't have a clue with regards to their figures.
    Add here correctional services
    Also Nature conservation departments
And what about the security industry? There are security companies that are most definitely owned by people with connections in the "right places" that gets 0 problems from SAPS side when "losing" firearms.
Are some Immigration officers not armed as well? (Not sure)
I have seen armed customs and excise officers recently. Surely they are not losing anything??
And then also add the illegal influx over our open borders.

Sorry Mr Cele and all your co-operators on the bill. You have completely lost your cause. Maybe convince someone else that firearms in private hands are the source of weapons for criminality, but I am not.

Interesting read with clear arguments although so much more could be added. The comments on some ridiculous. People not wanting to take a life in self defence for fear of self remorse but seemingly willing to let their families die during an attack and not worry about it. Almost paid subscription just to comment.
