Just wait, they will add screwdrivers, bread knives and scissors on there as well. No logic as mentioned in another post. This is how critical theory works, rational thinking is apparently used to oppress people and therefor the system of rational thinking and logic must be broken down and a new "better system" created that does not "oppress" people like the truth, logic and rational thinking oppress people. Go figure....

If we don't act we will eventually lose access to private firearms ownership in SA.

Slowly but surely, like a frog in boiling water government will see it's agenda become reality.

Hopefully the organizations can band together and put aside differences. If they can't, the future is very uncertain. Much is at stake.
Agreed. There are far too many gun owners complaining but not willing to open their wallets every month even just for a R100, maar hulle sal dop koop.

So... BEFORE the news came out last week GOSA (because we had an inkling this was going to happen) sent copies of the 2013 presentation to the Civilian Secretary's working group, and GOSA's own presentation to the PPC in 2015 to the Chair of the PPC.

We have also sent copies of our presentation on 'simplify, reduce duplication, license the person, register the firearm' through to the DA Shadow Minister and the Leader if the FF+.

Guys, we're running at this full tilt, but we need your weight behind us.

Oh, and SAPS are appealing Martin's Fidelity order to the ConCourt... as we were certain they would. This is serious.

And the CC has not proven itself especially (or even marginally) in favour of civilian gun ownership.

Except for being a paid-up member of GOSA (I am), is there anything else we can do? For example a petition or something? What additionally can we do to support you guys?

Take part in the public participation process. Submit your comments on the bill. I'm sure DearSA will be adding this bill to their portal

    +1

When it's open for public comment it should be shared far and wide.
