These are being distributed around the country right now (as A3 stickers), as part of 'protest packs' and by email (even by SA Hunters' newsletters).
They should be on the march in Keptoon tomorrow. The protest packs will be couriered around the country on Monday and will feature in the Midrand (Ben Schoeman) event from 10h00 on Wednesday the 23rd.
We'd like to see them used in the lead up to, and at the march to Parliament on the 1st of July."Always remember to pillage before you burn"

The S&O petition link lists the DearSA and IRR public participation campaigns.

Re: Firearms Amendment Bill of 2021
Does anyone have a rough idea when the new amendment will take force?
I'm asking because I'd like to buy and licence 2 new pistols before the restrictions come into effect - and I don't know if I have enough time left?

Re: Firearms Amendment Bill of 2021
Stats SA released interesting statistics regarding cause of death of the population. It makes for good reading and a lot of thoughts and ideas coming to mind if it is compared with common anti-gun lobby and SAPS statistics or rather the skew analysis and conclusions they make of statistics. I am sure a lot of it can be used in our fight against the proposes bill.
Example: Maybe GFSA should rather change to "Swim Free South-Africa." It seems that the age group of 15-24 that they are so concerned about have 68,3 % of unnatural deaths attributed to injuries related to drowning + smoke inhalation + fire + poisonings + falling to death + poisonous plants or animals + animals. Checked again - 68,3 %!
14 % of the age group die unnaturally because of assault and 11,4 % in road accidents.
So where are gun violence featuring here?
These stats does say that unnatural deaths in the age group 15-19 increased by 42,5 % and for 20-24 by 49,2 %, but there is 0 evidence that this increase has anything to do with gun violence.
It is also very clear that GFSA reciting figures of 40 % increase in this and 50 % increase in those etc are taken way out of context. The sample they are talking about is simply too small to be of any meaning. If there where 10 gun related deaths this month and 15 next, they want to shout to the world about a 50 % increase over some period, but over the whole population it is a 0,0000000x % increase that gets statistically insignificant.
Good timing for STATS SA to come to the table with these figures now.
TB still comes out on top as the single highest cause of death in RSA. AK might save a lot more lives by starting TBFSA campaigns and rather force the dep of Health to pull up their socks than bothering SAPS with crap that keeps them from the streets and fighting crime.
