Default Self defence toys becoming more lethal

Has anyone seen how these toys are skirting the limits of legality these days?

I was quite surprise to see this pop up on facebook, thought it only stopped at rubber / pepper balls.

I wonder what the kinetic energy of that is

I'd ask on the Armour SA page but I'm banned

To be honest. You shoot someone with those. You wont be sleeping at home for a bit.

Looks like that page may be down.

I also see they have made a U-turn on their blank gun sales:

    "Dear Valued followers and clients.
Our intention and point of our business is to provide effective security solutions.

After much deliberation, Armour-Sa Sales and Solutions will no longer sell Blank Guns. This is after careful research and engagement with members of the Gun owners association of South Africa. Now more than ever, we need to united together with all Gun Owners of South Africa, fight the Government taking Legal abiding citizens guns away.

Our thinking in the beginning of promoting these weapons is as a tool to scare away and deter attackers. However, used in the wrong scenario, which could end a life. One life is not worth it.

The other side to this whole situation is the actual ammunition importation into the country and legal processes make it an unreliable supply chain. There for disappointing previous clients on delivery times. We tired of that and want to focus on our core business. STOPPING BULLETS.

A blank gun is a Movie Prop, or a tool to train. Not for Self Defence.

Whom ever has ordered and is expecting their order- we are in the process of dealing with each order individually. We will honor all refunds and outstanding deliveries."
