    Default Pistol Safe

Hi everyone, had a look around online and see some websites make is super easy to find compliant safes but I'm looking for one that has digital combination access (with keys as a back up) any ideas on ones that meet the requirements?

I have seen this one below and the walls and doors meet the thickness requirements of 3mm and 6mm, it has a heavy duty lock and serial number but it doesn't have the SABS Standard 953-1 or 953-2 anywhere in the advert or Spec sheet PDF? is that a deal breaker for licensing?

As long as it meets the SABS standard, it's fine. You can state the technical details on your app.

The safe in your link won't comply

Minimum spec for a lock needs to be 7 lever, the specifications show 6 lever in the link.

At least 6 levers is the spec

    Youtube Digital safes.

No way I would feel comfortable leaving even my empty wallet in it.

Get a rifle safe and use better anchors than rawl bolts, like glue-ins, etc. Will give thieves a bit of a harder time than the Smartie box you are looking at.

The YT channel 'lockpicking lawyer' will have you viewing anything electronic with great scepticism. It's insane just how easy to defeat some 'safes' are. I can't comment on the Yale one shown though, no experience of it.

There are digital safes and then there are digital safes
The "cheap" ones are broken into relatively easily. The more proper ones have locks that start from over R2,500 (thats before you add the safe)

Have a chat to Simpson Safes, they should help guide you on proper up to spec safes

That Yale one linked is definitely a rebranded cheap Chinese one
