    Yip, this unfortunately is true.
    We have a similar key safe for our NHW control room and I regularly have to open it when it gets stuck.
    This can be done in 10 seconds exactly as shown.

    So, if you store your trusted FA is in a "cheapo" digital safe.... you have been warned. It may be up to code from a FCA perspective, but that does not mean it should be used for your FA.

    Most safes are surprisingly easy to get into. The wall thickness of the metal just make it so easy for a determined safe breaker. But that takes a bit of time and makes noise, so better to get it off the mounting and work at your leisure. That's handgun safes.
    Rifle safes are the same, just not the sort of thing you can sling over your shoulder and stroll off with.

    Money safes are another deal altogether, you can get in but need time, tools and patience.
    I've had to open 2, first one I got lucky and happened to drill the lock in the right spot.
    The second was a combination lock so had to go through the side. Character building.
