I’m a forum rookie, so thank you for having me join.

I’m situated in Jhb but grew up 60+ years ago with hunting, fishing, camping and firearms as part of family life as my father was involved with Groeneveld & Hicks in Pretoria. Back then we could do sport shooting at school and I was in the first team along with my brothers. Those were the days. Although fishing later became my “thing”, I love to do shooting anytime I get the chance.

Since complications associated with gun preservation are my stock in trade, many of the matters discussed on Gunsite are close to my heart.

I am really looking forward to learning from this very experienced and knowledgeable community.

Welcome. I bought my first firearm from Groeneveld and Hicks in the late 70's. G&H and Perrins were the go to dealers in those years.
