I have seen all three available recently. Starting at R50k for the Weatherby, R167k for the Rigby and around R400k for the Verney.

    YOLO
I'll take one of each please

    Me too!

Unfortunately I don't have that kind of budget so I bought a Weatherby Vanguard S2 Sporter. Yes, yes, Howa builds them on the 1500 action platform but the fit and finish is quite a bit better than the Howa branded rifles (I own a Howa) and there are subtle differences in the action itself.

Glen, make us a list of all .308's priced from low to high please

Ill probably end up buying the howa and adding but CZ also appeal to me at a price point.

My Tikka T3x .308 with laminated wood stock. More accurate than my CZ 550 .308, and also half a kilo lighter

With the long licensing waiting time I would say just go big and get gun for life. IMHO the Sako 85 is hard to beat. Also widely supported in SA.

    Ruger M77 Hawkeye
Mine is a wooden stocked 308 topped with a Meopta 3-9x50. Shoots half MOA with handloads.
