If youre in JHB, pop in Cerberus tac. Alex has should have both 1 point and 2 point slings, which you could always try out on an airsoft gun and see how it feels.

It depends on you kit and what is your 'mission'.

If you are going to pull foot patrol duty wearing lightweight kit like a soft panel vest without all them bells and whistles protruding from your upper torso, then I'd go with a quality two point sling like VTAC or which ever brand is available around there...

...but if you go with a full tactical kit Id use a single point sling which is attached to your tactical vest on the support side. Why support side? When you let go off your rifle it will end up at your support side not blocking your transition to the pistol or a less lethal weapon.

With full kit the two point will at the worst moment snag on your mag pouches, knife, kitchen sink and chimney you carry on your kit and it may get you in a very bad place when you should be fast and smooth.

I don't recommend using those loop style single points especially with the flexible bungee cord: they are extremely uncomfortable, snag into everything, move around your neck and when you let go off the long gun while running you'll bust your balls or even fall when your rifle thing is hitting and getting between your legs and knees. Good for posing, but no real life application unless the application is... posing.

10 reasons to buy a piece of kit:

    Ignore the rest as moot

The old R5, LMG MAG canvas sling is hard to beat.

Anyway, I have an old school two point-sling on my AR. But if I could get a three-point sling, that would be first prize. Works the best.
