I can highly recommend the BFG Vickers sling! The YouTube videos posted on the previous give excellent insight too, avoid one point slings!
The NeoMag scout sling also looks like a good contender! Otherwise failing that the Magpul MS3 sling is decent too!

Better avoid people giving you bad instruction on using one point slings because they don't know how to use one. Just saying... But true, those loop around body single point versions are a solution to a problem that does not exist.

I don't have an AR but use slings on bolt and shotguns. Given how many I have in the odds and sods drawer I suspect they are like holsters in that you'll probably go through a few before you find the Goldilocks one.
For what it's worth I eventually landed on a two point, push button QD with flush, side mounted cups for my semi which is the long gun I would be most likely to use socially. Quick on and off and leaves the stock free of catch points when removed.
