I wouldn't worry about it either. Getting a gun refinished is cheap.
Or at least it is if you live in kzn and know how to contact me

I have observed the same thing with my brand new G19 Gen 5. I, too, am using a Daniels holster. The scratches occurred on the slide, towards the front. Interestingly, after the first few scratches were formed - that was it. I’ve been checking it closely and no further scratches seem to be developing. Even after I was at the very busy range yesterday. So I’m thinking either there was a bit of grit in the holster the first time I inserted the gun, or the holster needed to be somehow “stretched” just a little for the ideal fit. With that being said it’s still a really nice holster.

Its a GLOCK. Not an Heirloom Precision or Cabot 1911.

As to the cause, you got sand or grit in your holster the last time you went to the range.
Insensitive bastard. A Glock is being mangled to death and you have zero sympathy.

Hey you bunch of S16ers might have 10 handguns to your names! I only have two and they are my babies even if they are not works of art!

Works of art maybe not, but work horses yes!
My favourite gun is my CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow, its also my most expensive, and to me its beautiful with its red Lok grips, but its my hardest working work horse as well.

Guns are made to be shot, even the classic mint condition Colt 1911 is made to be shot, and they ware

I dont know why you have these scratches on your brand new Glock, but I wouldnt let it worry me one bit if it was mine…

Do you think it's cheap to get that kind of natural well worn finish?
