Re: Your hunting bag…
Binos, rifle, knife and phone that's it. Anything else is always within vehicle reach. I Pretty much don't eat the whole day anyways as is. I drink very little as well. Sometimes a stick of biltong in my pocket. What I've noticed is most people cannot go a few hours without snacking. Their energy levels drop and by midday they would rather go eat than hunt.

4 rounds of .375 H and H.
Sometimes walked a long long long way.
Young and stupid.
Far easier to sit at home and talk about the warthog stories now.

Your hunting bag…
Honestly, the deeper in the bush I go on foot, nowadays…
The smaller my quarry. The prospect of dragging anything that weighs 40 kg or more for a mile or more away from my truck at my age always plays into whether I really, really do want to take a shot at that big whitetail/feral hog/sasquatch.
Not to mention the hoisting, gutting, skinning and quartering of same, followed by processing over the course of the next day or two. At what age does one begin to get chuffed over making the entire endeavor more easy & efficient?

........................"awwwwww Dad!"
