    Default what caliber is this?

    IMG_2223.jpg
Weird story. My dog was digging in the garden and this came out. I found no brass. I live in Stirling, East London and I found no history of the area that might give a clue. The diameter is 8mm and it is 31.5mm long.

The length puts in the 196gr bracket. That looks like a cupro-nickel jacket.

Could it be from an old .303Br MkI or MkII cartridge?

    From Wikipedia
"The initial .303 Mark I and Mk II service cartridges used a 215-grain (13.9 g), round-nosed, copper-nickel full metal jacketed bullet with a lead core."
