Re: AJ Running Guns
Ive driven past them. They are in Paarden Eiland not Bo-Kaap.
Not dealt with them at all.
Some time back sent an email. Got reply only after I purchased somewhere else.
So although they are very close to my work. I support the guys I usually buy from
247Hunters and Jizni also ahead of them when I order something that local shops dont have. As these two are so fast and reliable. Its quicker then me driving to my local shops.

Re: AJ Running Guns
Got my SLR competency on 07/09/2021 and needed to get some info on a SLR i saw on their website. I decided to go with a dealer in GP, and went and bought a 15-22 today.

Buy as many magazines as you can lay your hands on. There are a few around at the moment and this is unfortunately a wear item. The rim of the .22 case wears away the inside of the magazine feed lips in a few thousand rounds, to the point that the magazines become unreliable.
Also an Extractor Upgrade if you can find.
Either, Smith & Wesson or the new local agents, have dropped the ball. (This is exactly why we should do more to support smaller local businesses instead of faltering to the monopolizing corporations and their false promises. Before, when MRST were still the agents, this would be a non-issue.)

Re: AJ Running Guns
Thanks for the advise, i bought 2 additional mags, but will buy more to keep spare. I heard about some problems with the ejectors, and will test once i get the firearm.
I do believe in promoting and supporting local smaller dealers rather than the bigger commercialised ones.

Re: AJ Running Guns
From my research these are the best extractors, you will have to import it to SA though! Although at one stage a few years back someone from the forum organised a group buy IIRC!

Re: AJ Running Guns
I used AJ Running Guns a few years ago (2018 or 2019). I bought a Cylinder & Slide safety for a Browning HP from them. Two days later I collected it from my local post office.
Their prices are good, and if they say its in stock it is actually in stock.
I would support them again.

Re: AJ Running Guns
Was hesitant to start a new thread. Has anyone had any dealings with this gun shop?
My cousin's boss purchased a firearm from them a year or so ago and has been paying storage fees for some time until license gets approved.
It seems the license has been declined and he wants to sell the firearm but he cant get hold of the dealership.
