You leave a classic alone. People spend a ton of money restoring a classic back to original.

It's like taking a 1970's Ford Mustang and having some artwork air brushed all over it. It might look pretty, but you just don't do it.

My Colt Python is original in box. That is how it should be, but each to his own.
