Handed in a new s13 license application to dfo 02 Sep. It's been sitting at KZN Prov since 29 Sep. No progress.
DFO reckons the delay at KZN Prov is due to shortage of staff and he says that they cannot send files to CFR due to the office move.

    Their excuses are endless..

I'm guessing with Dec holidays approaching we can expect nothing to happen most of Dec and Jan.

Mine has been sent back to my Dfo because he didn't fill in some form that he has never done before in all his apps.
I sure he said it was a 471 or something like that
    Frustration!!

Bud, I'm seeing a trend in License Application and Licesne Approvals Database where applications are being approved in just 3/4 months from being captured. Looking promising, and from what we went through, longest delays appear to be at local DFO and Prov DFO. *Fingers Crossed*

Was in the same boat, but it's now been flagged to be sent to CFR, so there is some progress happening at least.

Yeah Bud... I'm hopeful things will flow better this time around. We could both do with a Christmas present though. "Fingers crossed too bud"

Wow, one month from Provincial to approved. That's great.

    Thanks guys.

I think I just managed to get ahead of the backlog at KZN Prov DFO. Approved at 120 days exactly.

For what its worth, the system still reflects in consideration for the second day running now, yet I have received my approval sms.

High probability that system is not being updated.

    Hang in there guys....
