I bought it online from primary arms in the US and had it delivered to a friend working in the US, He brings me a goodie bag every December when he comes home to SA.

Where are you based? Would you consider adding a few other bits in with your deliver?

I fitted a promag side rail and mounted a sightmark holographic sight (think a-spec). Raild runs a bit high but does allow for sufficient room to be able to service the gun. I do enjoy shooting the gun a lot more with an optic.

I have fitted the Premier Shooting master mount https://cerberustac.co.za/rails-moun...271000200.html with a 1-6x24 Primary Arms SLx https://drdistributors.co.za/online/...00blk-reticle/

Very happy camper. Master munt is expensive, built like t34.

All available in good old RSA and both Louis and Alex are good guys

Imo any mount that results in the optic dot sitting/indexing higher than irons will influence the AK optimal cheekweld and then you will need to get a cheek riser of some sorts.

The Ultimak and MI gas tube rail will give you optimal cheekweld and co-wit.

It gets hot on the gas tube so a premium rds like an Aimpoint Micro is advisable. I have no experience on how the mini dots will hold up with the heat.
