    Default The Profiler Diaries

This was thoroughly absorbing reading. I really enjoyed this book and the detail on each of the selected cases. I found the last chapter to be interesting from an academic perspective but felt it was a bit of let down compared to the other cases. This was well written and at times quite candid and almost conversational. One alarming aspect for me was the organisational inefficiencies and the serious brain drain that has affected SAPS as a result. When you read this book it will come as no surprise to you that crime in SA really does pay when you see the problems at SAPS and why the most talented and experienced members go into the private sector.

Sadly it seems to pay pretty well in SAPS too.
