You can get some great deals on blades right here on GS if you look into miscelleneous goods for sale. Hint hint.

Re: Where to do you buy your blades?
Thanks Kevin - I like to turn over my collection on a regular basis. It keeps things interesting and allows me to experience lots and lots of knives.
As for the Cold Steel question - I agree that Sharp Edge is a good bet. Sharp Edge has relatively good prices by SA standards and they have one of the most wide-ranging selections of knives - their Cold Steel selection included. Unfortunately by US standards the retail price we pay for knives here is very high. Buffalo Hump takes the time to acquire his knives from overseas, and he saves quite a bit on even some very high end knives by doing so (the cost of shipping and customs notwithstanding).

Re: Where to do you buy your blades?
Hey guys,
Bad news… I only have about R400.00 left to spend on a good quality tanto folder. It doesn’t have to be a cold steel knife (obviously too expensive.)
Can you recommend me a good tanto blade for the price?
Thank you.

I know you are looking for a Tanto, but dont forget Kershaw. They make great bang for the buck. Here are things I found for you at about R400
