Sterling 9mm Ammo Recall
Hi Guys! Sterling Ammo has issued a recall for their green box 9mm ball ammo. Spoke to my dealer and he said that the supplier is offering to replace it with a good batch, box for box.
Tried to get something better and pay the difference but they have no other stock.

Re: Sterling 9mm Ammo Recall
Paid R320 a box a while back. Crazy stuff. Don't know what they are priced at now.
Didn't have a problem with the ammo but I only bought 50, though Sterling don't have the best rep from what I understand.

Re: Sterling 9mm Ammo Recall
Tested a few boxes using my 9mm case gauge. At least 2-3 rounds per box did not fit/sit in case gauge.
I always test ammo before using at the range or for SD.

Re: Sterling 9mm Ammo Recall
Know someone who had a very very bad experience with it. Probably was part of the bad batch.

Re: Sterling 9mm Ammo Recall
Even if they fit barrel or gauge. What if the recall reason as due to the fact they possibly used wrong powder.

Re: Sterling 9mm Ammo Recall
Case gauge is to ensure the ammo fits in the barrel. Only the manufacturer, supplier, etc. can answer your question.
