Gate monitoring
Hey guys,
I have a farm that i am often away from due to work reasons, is there any type of device that i can install on my gate that will alert me if the gate has been opened? something that can give me a sms or any type of notification through an app.
I want to be able to monitor what time my staff come and go during working hours, and to see if the gate gets used at night.
I do have a strong wifi signal there.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thank you

Re: Gate monitoring
Something like a Wyze Cam V3 with night vision is cheap, excellent clarity and can alert to movement and send you a video. https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/wyze-cam-v3

Re: Gate monitoring
What about the system townhouse complexes use where you ring the intercom and the owner gets a sms to open the gate? Wouldn't it work for your application?

Re: Gate monitoring
its not an electric gate, so i think the best option is to put a camera there as suggested. Thanks very much for the info guys.

Re: Gate monitoring
What about a trail camera? They can be set to send a picture or short video as soon as it picks up movement. Or otherwise a security camera, set on motion activated?
