Well you do know the SAPS did not renew the printing contract with printers at end September. So at moment nothing is being printed at all.

So there will be huge delays in cards.

Seems they did print cards that was approved till about the 30th of Sept. A friends license was approved on the 27 Sept and cards is already at Western Cape Provincial, been there for at least a week already, but local station in cape town wont go and collect as they only collect at the end of the month. This is according to a new schedule that they have received. So he has to wait about 3 to 4 more weeks just for the card.

They only printed up to 30 Sept. As per Tac Shac video post even if you received in Oct that it was printed it was not.

Even for an organization as useless and incompetent as SAPS it seems unlikely that they 'forgot' to renew their printing contract. Two possible scenarios spring to mind: 1. It was engineered to allow some crony to get an 'emergency procurement' deal to step in and provide printing services; 2. It's to stop licensing guns without having to mess about with legislation

Orrrrr.... it's because CFR/SAPS are bad payers so GPW doesn't want to renew the contract.

I guess all those payments for the dodgy PPE procurements may have got in the way.
