Ha ha, that seems to have struck a nerve. I don't make a study of the US criminal justice system so despite my lengthy tenure as a literate non-tv watching resident of the earth I have been surprised by some of the stories that have found their way under my rock from there of late.

Given my apparently naive outlook on life I assumed that a first world democracy with a relatively high level of education would be a difficult place to pull the sort of shit our esteemed leaders do down here. Thankfully my feelings are not easily hurt and since I didn't have any deep investment in it I remain an un-melted snowflake. Mark me down as schooled.

They might still nail him with weapons charges.

TBH, with all the video footage available beforehand, I don't know how this even made it to trial. And the "victim" with the handgun should be charged for his part in this.

I think that's a leftard superpower. It goes with the industrial grade hypocrisy.

^ This. The dude on the beach in Greece springs to mind. The wheels of justice spun some tracks then.

I don’t think the trial has been concluded yet. I suspect more cross examination will follow the drone evidence of today.

Kyle was being questioned. Broke down on the stand. Poor kid. Yes, he made some poor decisions leading him to be in that situation, but no one should have to go through that.
