Choosing a zero point that makes changes in distance less important, and saying that the zero distance is not important is not the same thing.

I actually wrote an article (https://jizni.co.za/blog/post/zero-distance.html) about why zero distance is not important. On a handgun. With iron sights. Sitting millimetres above the bore. With optics, which rides higher, it becomes important. And with a PCC, even more so. You have to prioritise.

My personal priority, from the article, is as follows: "Whether I shoot iron sights or optics, I practice accuracy at the longest distance at which I can see my hits clearly. To get the best possible feedback when practising accuracy, I zero at about the same distance."

I'm not anti-practicing. I'm just pro-learning.
