RIP. Many childhood memories of getting immersed in his stories.

A great storyteller is gone. I have a full collection of his books waiting for the days I can really sit down and read them all.

A great story teller with a formidable work ethic. Many happy hours spent in his books as a youngster. RIP.

Best hunts I ever went on, some of the best lovers I experienced, Courtney and Centaine. Hating losing my fortune loved making it.

The African sun was always the same beautiful - hot - dangerous.

Now this comment is profound. The man himself would have appreciated it.

This is so well put. I still love reading his books when in need of an adventure. I hope he rests in peace, what a storyteller.

I read "When The Lion Feeds" and "The Sound Of Thunder" for the first time when I was about
10 years old and many times more over the years. The part where "Duff" contracts rabies scared the shit out of me for years.
I dont remember the words verbatim but it was something like " Duffs chain tinkled and he woke to see duff crouched apelike....."

    Great books.
