Hi Piglet, long time no chat, Not sure if they are available locally, but the Hennessy hammock is considered one of the best. Take a look at its features to get an idea of what you want. They innovated a diagonal sleeping system to help with the banana back ache

Lots of plain hammocks just nothing with the tent option

Has anyone tried these things? I see the hennesy uses a diagonal lay design which apparently makes it more comfortable but I can't find them in sa, the nature hike venus looks similar but I haven't tried one yet

Maybe something like the haven hammock tents,but it probably cost an arm and leg.

Looks like I will have to look at the tarp and mosquito net hammocks.
Or just farm style self cut tarpaulin and a hammock

If you know someone handy with a sewing machine it shouldn't be hard for them to put a mosquito net and a zip onto one of the parachute material type hammocks, then just throw a rain fly over it

Ive used one of these before they pretty good but i wouldn't recommend it if you over 100kg.
