VLT store in Pretoria

Good morning
Anyone know what happened to VLT in Pretoria store is closed with boards saying opening soon. There is a contact number but no answer we have a rifle that is approved but can’t get thru to anyone to collect it

Just spoke to Divan who was one of the previous owners.

The store has been sold.

The new owners plan to open doors next week.

A little off topic but what happens iif you buy a gun from ABC Gun shop but before you get your licence and can collect it they close down or liquidate... What happens to your firearm...evem though you have no licence it is still your property?

The previous owners are a group of companies that have been discussed many times here on GS, and definitely not due to their good customer service.

I suspect they will sell off the retail store and keep the wholesale/distribution rights they acquired with the store when they bought it?

Yes it’s yours, they can’t sell it to anybody else.

This has been discussed here on the forum in the past.

The problem is if the FA is on consignment stock it belongs to the supplier until paid.

Indeed. A dealer who sells and delivers the instruments to take ownership (the forms), making the implied warranty that he is entitled to pass ownership to a buyer, without having paid a supplier for consignment stock where ownership is reserved, commits fraud.
