I was under the impression that mpds was a Sadpa developed format and would remain? Also who is sofa? Are they backed by safari Outdoor?

Default IDPA cancels affiliation with SADPA

As a long standing SADPA and IDPA member, I must say how sad this is….

And the splits, in-fighting and further divisions within the old SADPA/IDPA will further weaken this sport (to everyone’s detriment).

Been looking on the fosa website and they do seem to have some kind of link to safari Outdoor. They also seem to be trying to take on natshoot.co.za as they talk about "our targets" and activities. Seems very generic at present. Wonder if its some kind of direct play for the membership market from safari Outdoor via this faux organization? Just a thought.

    About

Outdoor Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd. have embraced a vertically integrated business model and subsequently invest in owner managed businesses that operate with a great deal of independence. Our stakeholders both support and embrace the value system established by employees over time.

    Our Businesses

    Safari Outdoor

    Inyathi Sporting Supplies

    Formalito

    Family Pet Centre

FOSA is not owned by Outdoor Investment Holdings (Safari Outdoor) they're just affiliated with them, as far as I know. I remember they had a stand at the Firearm Festival in October.

Anyways I'm with NARFO, they don't get mentioned enough I feel.

Acronyms are obviously the “Tacta-Timmy-Digi-Cam” of the letter writing world. It is clear to all and sundry, that the author is obviously a highly skilled and very dangerous penman!

As things regress, I can’t help but wonder what happened to sense and reason? Where are all the capable people that kept this place together? Have they all left?

Thanks for the above, I should have looked a bit deeper into outdoor investments. Digressing a bit now... Firearms Festival? Where was that? That sounds interesting.

FOSA is most definitively owned by Outdoor Investments. Walk into their corporate offices in Lynwood Bridge and they're right there.
