Vector SP2 and the 9mm conversion kit
Hi everyone, i have been lucky enough to have been offered a Vector SP2 in .40S&W with a 9mm conversion kit and i would like to run it in 9mm for obvious reasons. Has anyone had experience with these conversion kits and how reliable are they? Its a beautiful example of a Vector and i really want to get it but i dont want any major headaches. Also, is there anything i need to look out for? Thanks in advance

Re: Vector SP2 and the 9mm conversion kit
If the conversion kit comes with two barrels then you will need to license both barrels. Something to keep in mind.

Re: Vector SP2 and the 9mm conversion kit
Many years ago a friend of mine owned such a kit. He never had issues with it that I am aware of. If the price is right-buy it!

Re: Vector SP2 and the 9mm conversion kit
I have an Vektor SP2 Competition. Lovely shooting pistol. As previously mentioned it is derived from the Beretta 92. As an experiment I took my Beretta 92 9mmP barrel and tested it on the SP2 and it worked just fine. The Beretta 92 barrel is slightly longer so the muzzle sticks out just a bit more.

The lips on the Beretta and Vektor .40 S&W magazines are a tiny bit wider than the 9mmP, but in practice they work fine with 9mmP.

Wouldn't you have to change the extractor as well?
